AMR concentrator is installed on the exit end of an residential AMR LAN, and both the downstream and upstream communication support TCP/IP protocol. It functions (1) as the host of AMR network, to communicate with its workgroup of slave collectors; (2) as the remote network node, to communicate with the AMR central station of power supply company.
