The KS3310 USB reader is ISO 7816 compliant and reads and writes on smart cards in ID 1 card format. With its proven design and a fold-out foothold, the reader is suitable for a wide range of applications.

Typical applapplications for offices, IT companies and OEMs are for example logical access control to a PC or network, secure authentication for Business-to-Business and Business-to- Consumer applications, secure logon via email encryption.

With its EMV certification, the KS3310 is also suitable for banking related applications. The reader is ideal for integrating it into systems of the gaming industry. Its square modular shape makes it furthermore suitable for integration into external systems such as in transportation related systems, e.g. for parking, ticketing, and toll-collection.
The KS3310 can also be integrated into larger OEM systems, both with or without casing as a PCB module.
