If you only want to show the laser beam and no animation, you can not buy a laser software, because the laser has many laser programs inside, and it also has a SD card which it has many programs, too. In the Sd card, there will be a free software file called Ishow, this ishow is onle a file which you can install on your computer, it has no controller, you  can only use it to edit texts and logos on your PC and then save it into your SD card, the laser will show your prgrams.

Application:

If you never use this light again, don't be worried, this is a simple machine, you can only switch it on, the laser will run by itself. If you are using laser light, this also will be a very good choice for you, You can use it for a party, outdoor party,stage dj show, or Christmas lighting show, but please take care of your eyes, don't stare the laser directly in front of the laser.
