Clear RTV Neutral Silicone Gasket Maker is a neutral cure, low odor, and oxygen sensor safe RTV & high temperature resistance silicone rubber sealant. It resists aging, weathering and thermal cycling without hardening, shrinking or cracking.It is is designed to be oxygen sensor safe, and maintain maximum performance in a continuous temperature environment of 343°C (650°F).

Where to use

Specially used in manufacture & repair of auto & machinery.

It is ideally for intake and exhaust manifolds, headers, thermostat housings, etc.

Used on automobile/motorcycle’s engine valve, and such joint cover of rigid flange.

Used for valve covers, water pumps, oil pans, axel covers, thermostats, transmission pans, timing chain covers, intake manifolds (end seals), oil purmp flanges, etc.

Resistant to extreme temperature and petroleum relates products.

Highly flexible, non-corrosive and durable.

Excellent high temperature, low performance.

Fast curing, non-corrosive, good oil resistance.

Safety Precautions

Wear gloves. Wash hands after use. For interior applications, use in a well ventilated area.

Preparation

Protect work area. Surfaces to be sealed or bonded must be clean and free from grease. For improved adhesion, roughen very smooth surfaces. Pre-fit all materials before applying product. Pierce tube with the point on the reverse end of cap.

 Application

Tools Typically Required:
Tooling device. 

As an adhesive:
Apply adhesive to both surfaces to be bonded. Wait for 5 minutes until adhesive is tacky and then press surfaces together. Clamp if necessary. Sets in approximately 10 minutes and dries in 24 hours. Dry time is dependent upon temperature, humidity and amount of adhesive used. 

As a sealant:
Apply a layer thick bead over the area to be sealed. Tool if desired. Let dry for 24 hours. If necessary apply a second coat.

Effect

Have strong adhesive and sealing property for most material, after using, it become Highly flexible, non-corrosive and durable, and resist high temperature, oil resistance. Long life for bonding and sealing.
