Description
Manufactured from a hard wearing specially treated glass cloth filled with a mixture of mineral fiber and reactive expansion agents, which on exposure to heat from a fire will first expand and then harden to provide a complete and durable seal against the passage of fire, smoke and hot gases.

Firestop Pillows can be used for creating either temporary or permanent fire barriers and are ideal for sealing cable trays and ducts that penetrate fire rated structures.

They contain no asbestos or halogens and therefore can be used in areas such as telephone exchanges, computer rooms, cable tunnel of power plant and in areas where services are continually being modified.

Availability
We can produce any sizes to enable effective sealing in whatever size or shape of opening either in walls or floors.

Health and Safety
Care should be taken to avoid puncturing the pillows as dust generated may cause irritation to skin or eyes. Wear gloves and dust mask if handling damaged pillows.

Keep out of reach of children. Normal good industrial and personal hygiene practices should be observed.

Installation
They are quick and easy to fit and can be removed for re-use or allow new services to be passed through the penetration, to maintain the integrity of the structure simply re-fill the void with the pillows. In all situations the pillows should be fitted on a staggered formation and be packed tightly into the opening.
