Intensity

 This product is a kind of compound waterproof material which is of high technology and environmental friendly. It is composed of two layers of compound earthwork material with fine bentonitic particles specially stitched in between. It is widely used in anti-leakage for tunnels, railways and underground constructions, sewage treatments, gangue storage fields, virescence of roof platforms, and anti-seeping, sealing and seperation for man-made lakes.

 Altogether bentonitic waterproof pad is made up of three layers, the up and bottom layers being earthwork fabric cloth for protection and reinforement giving an overall anti-scissoring and anti-pulling intensity, and the middle layer being bentonitic particles which consists of natural clay inorganic material for high expansion capacity and high water absorption. When it is in a damp sate, it has a very low water penetration level (the vertical filtering coefficient being (≤ax 10—1 1m／S). Its main function is to prevent seepage.
    Besides a low water penetration level the product should also be able to provide a stable struture.The bentonitic earth is a kind of powder. When it is mixed with water, its anti-scissoring intensity is decreased fast and it is likely that there will be slippage between the layers. In order to overcome this, it is a necessary to turn the fabric cloth and the bentonitic earth into a solid piece. An effective measure taken now is special pinpricking, which means to let the thick fibre go through the bentonitic earth layer from the top layer to the bottom layer and get fixed, hence turn the three parts into one solid body. In this way, the pad obtains a better integration and a higher anti-scissoring and anti-pulling intensity.
