The DDSY168 is a single phase two wire STS compliant prepaid electricity meter finished in a compact, keypad-based BS5685 footprint housing. It maintains the rugged RF immunity withstand of 30V/m and IP54 rating, up to 13kV surge & lightnening protection, and down to 80V operatable voltage, allowing it to be installed in very harsh and voltage-dip frequent environments as in Afrcia and Central America continents. The meter is used in residential, light commercial and industrial environments for submetering and tenants metering applications.
The meter provides an integrated solution for kWh measurement and prepayment. Credit and management data is transferred from a point of sales (POS) to the meter via a 20-digit numeric token that is generated using the Standard Transfer Specification (STS) encryption protocol. The token is entered into the meter via a 4x3 three-color keypad. Information as V, A, PF, daily, monthly usage data, etc can be toggled by Calin\'s short codes. A utility or a service provider can make settings with the meter such as emergency unit, free basic unit, debt collection, billing cycles, power limit, low balance warning, etc.
