Heat shrinkable sleeve You're familiar with Qingdao Huashida, the industry leader in corrosion protection and sealing in CHINA. Advanced manufacturing plant; advanced technologies; advanced products; advanced performance.. A series of heat shrinkable sleeve systems that provide superior corrosion protection (2-layer or 3-layer) of exposed steel of pre-insulated pipe on field applied girth-weld joints of buried, exposed and offshore pipelines operating up to 130ºC (266ºF). Field Joint Coatings 1. HSD-Wrap Two-piece protective bulk roll with separate closure HSD-Wrap is a wrap arround sleeve with a separate closure designed for corrosion protection of buried and exposed steel pipelines. HSD-Wrap is supplied in bulk rolls consisting of a cross-linked polyethylene backing, coated with a protective heat activated adhesive. Once installed, the system effectively bonds and protects steel substrates and common main line pipe coatings including polyethylene and fusion bonded epoxy. • Just-in-time customized lengths allow bulk rolls to be field cut to protect any pipe size • Open sleeve configuration allows the product to be applied after the pipeline has been welded and cleaned • A broad range of operating temperature specific and soil stress resistant adhesives for project specific conditions Product description: Construction:2-layer system (2PE); First layer: Heat melt adhesive. Second layer: Radiation cross-linked, high density polyethylene film. The installation is carried out directly on the cleaned and dried (pre-heated) pipe surface without any primer being required. During installation, the heat shrinkable sleeve is wrapped and shrunk to form a tight fit around the joint. During recovery, the adhesive softens and flows to form a perfect bond with the pipe surface providing protection against corrosion. The radiation cross linked outer layer forms a tough barrier against mechanical damage and moisture transmission. Construction:3-layer system (3PE); First layer: Liquid epoxy. Second layer: Heat melt adhesive. Third layer: Radiation cross-linked, high density polyethylene film. This system is a wrap-around heat shrinkable sleeve which replicates the structure and performance of mill-applied three-layer PE coatings. During installation, the epoxy is applied to the prepared pipe surface and the heat shrinkable sleeve is immediately wrap around the joint over the wet epoxy. Heat is then applied to the sleeve which shrinks to form a tight fit around the joint. While curing, the epoxy forms strong mechanical and chemical bonds to the pipe surface & to the copolymer adhesive layer. The radiation cross linked outer layer forms a tough barrier against mechanical damage and moisture transmission. Reamark: The thickness mainly according to the buyer’s requirements. HSD-TUBE Tubular sleeve for pipeline corrosion protection The HSD-Tube is a heat shrinkable tubular sleeve designed for corrosion protection of buried and exposed steel pipelines. HSD-Tube consists of a cross-linked polyethylene backing, coated with a protective heat sensitive adhesive which effectively bonds to steel substrates and common pipeline coatings including polyethylene and fusion bonded epoxy. • A unique, factory constructed, tubular configuration allows for quickest installation time because less time is spent handling the sleeve and closure • A specially formulated adhesive bonds to common pipeline coatings and is engineered for demanding conditions. |
