Description

Tubular bandage is applied using an applicator , and is woven in a continuous circle . It is used to hold dressings or splints on to limbs , or to provide support to sprains and strains , and it stops bleeding .

 
The tubular bandage is a supple , skin-friendly liner for plaster of Paris and synthetic casts .
The tubular bandage , which is knitted seamlessly using cotton yarn , is inherently stretchy , especially widthwise , which gives the material its ability to conform as well as making it comfortable to wear . 

Tubular Bandage ( Stockinette )

Tubular bandage provides lasting , effective support with complete freedom of movement for the patient . Once the bandage has been applied , covered elastic threads within the fabric move to adjust to the contours of the body and distribute pressure evenly over the surface .

Applications
 
Tubular bandage provides tissue support in the treatment of strains and sprains , soft tissue injuries , joint effusions ,  general oedema , postburn scarring and ribcage injuries and is also used for pressure dressings and arm fixation .

Tubular bandage is made from cotton with covered elastic threads laid into the fabric to form freemoving spirals .

Multifunctional tubular bandage is used for a wide variety of applications . It is used to retain wound dressings and padding material , as well as to protect the skin under plaster of Paris and synthetic casts and compression bandages .

In dermatological indications , it can also be used as protection in ointment therapy .  Its flexible properties make it attractive from an economical perspective as well .
