Green silicon carbide, also named green carborundum, is made of quality silicon sand (SiO2), petroleum coke appended with salt smelted in high temperature electric arc furnace. It is green crystal structure with high hardness, strong cutting ability, stable chemical characteristics.
Green silicon carbide is mainly used in processing hard alloys and materials such as:
