Description:Metal connector plate: All connector plate material complies with ANSI/TPI-2002 chapter 4 metal connector plate manufacturing. All measurements and tolerances are in inches Connector plate specifications: Truss connector plates are staggered-toothed metal plates punched from 20 gauge sheet steel. The sheet steel conforms to ASTM A 653, structural quality, grade 40 and is galvanized in accordance with ASTM A 924 with a coating designation G60. The plates have teeth 3/8 inches (9.5mm) long, punched in pairs formed at right angles to the face of the parent metal so that two teeth per hole occur along the length. The spacing along the longitudinal direction of each punched slot is 1 inch (25.4 mm) on center. The transverse center lines of adjacent slots are staggered 0.10 inch (2.54 mm). The distance between longitudinal center lines of the slots is 0.25 inch (6.35 mm). There are 8 teeth per square inch of surface area. As shown in the right side view, the tooth configuration in each row is two right teeth opposing two left teeth, two left teeth opposing two right teeth and so on.
