XP163/XP203 tyre compactor is the landmark of 3 series products developed on the basis of 2 series products. Driving comfort
Spacious and bright cab features wide view and comfort. Both-side operation can absolutely avoid rolling the curb and the compacting blind corners.
Simple operation
There are two steering wheels, two seats, and two independent control systems for operations. The speed change adopts the gearbox with synchronizer, with 3 forward gears and 2 reverse gears, which can respectively meet the requirements of compaction and site transfer, featuring flexible operation and comfortable handfeel, and greatly reducing the labor intensity of the drivers.
Excellent performance
Adopting the pneumatic tyre to compact the layer will not damage the compacted materials. The compact performance can be improved by adding or reducing the counterweight and changing the inflation pressure of the tyres. Because of the kneading effect produced by the tyre\'s elasticity, the material displacement will be produced in all directions, forming even dense surface without cracks, which can prolong the service life of the road. When the machine works on rough road, the front wheels swing mechanism ensures the even ground pressure, which can make the materials be compacted evenly.
Safety and reliability
The brake system includes emergency brake and hand brake. The emergency brake adopts air over oil shoe brake system, features durability and reliability, ensuring the safety performance of the machine. The hand brake adopts diaphragm spring brake, it supplements the foot brake and is restricted by the foot brake, featuring safety and reliability.
Reliability of water circuit
The water sprinkling system of XP163/XP203 meets the requirements of different working conditions, prolongs the service life of the water pump, and avoids stopping work due to the water circuit failures.
The optional oil sprinkle device meets the customer\'s personalized need, effectively reduces the asphalt adhered to the tyres, and improves the working quality.

Convenient maintenance
The engine cover is easy to open. The rear part of the machine adopts the cover plate structure which can be lifted. Lifting the water tank backward can facilitate the inspection, adjustment, and maintenance of the battery, water pump system, and chains.
Application
Road rollers use the weight of the vehicle to compress the surface being rolled (static) or use mechanical advantage (vibrating). Initial compaction of the substrate on a road project is done using a padfoot drum roller, which achieves higher compaction density due to the pads having less surface area. On large freeways a four wheel compactor with padfoot drum and a blade, would be used due to its high weight, speed and the powerful pushing force to spread bulk material. On regional roads a smaller single padfoot drum machine may be used. The next machine is usually a single smooth drum compactor that compacts the high spots down until the soil is smooth, and this is usually done in combination with a motor grader to get a level surface.
