Silver Needle White Teas are only produced in the Fujian province of southeast  China and no where else in the world. Silver Needle White teas have long been the finest of all teas and consist of the very most tender leaf buds. These buds are hand plucked in the fields right after they begin to develop, but before they have had any time to open into leaves.

User’s snapshot

The taste is pretty light, kind of nutty (pine nut maybe?) Very different from other teas. The flavor stays with you after the sip goes down. This white tea is only picked a few days a year - i\'m glad i tried it.

Description:

White tea is a lightly oxidized tea grown and harvested primarily in China, mostly in the Fujian province and Ningbo, Zhejiangprovince.

White tea comes from the buds and leaves of the Chinese Camellia sinensis plant. The leaves and buds are allowed to wither in natural sunlight before they are lightly processed to prevent oxidation or further tea processing.

The name \"white tea\" derives from the fine silvery-white hairs on the unopened buds of the tea plant, which gives the plant a whitish appearance. The beverage itself is not white or colourless but pale yellow.

Be generous with the tea—use at least 1 tablespoons per 200ml of water(80℃). For leafy white teas, steep 4 to 5 minutes. For bud-only teas, add another minute or two for the flavors to truly develop.

If stronger flavor is desired, add more tea, not time. Highlighted teas will taste bitter if infused longer than the suggested time.

If brewing 2 or more teas together, follow instructions for the tea with the shortest time and lowest temperature.
