At present, there are kinds of methods for hardness measurement, commonly used like Brinell, Rockwell, Vickers, Leeb, etc, while the disadvantages are obvious for above hardness measurement methods.
Rockwell and Brinell with heavy loading force and big indentation, lead to serious destructive on sample surface.
Vickers apply optical measurement, but only professional technicians can smoothly operate, impossible to measure hardness of heavy work piece, installed machinery and permanently assembled parts.
Leeb hardness tester apply rebound and indirect method to measure hardness, easily lead to big deviation when convert to Birnell, Rockwell and Vickers scales.
SU-200 is a combined portable hardness tester which integrated the ultrasonic hardness testing method and dynamic Leeb hardness testing resolution in one instrument.
SU-200 is updated product based on ultrasonic hardness tester SU-100 and Leeb hardness tester SH-500, it has full of functions of SU-100 and SH-500, so it supports all of static ultrasonic measuring probes and Leeb dynamic impact devices together.

The ratio of the rebound velocity to the impact velocity of the impact body is a measure of the hardness of the material under test.
