II. Operation
A. Preparation before Operation
(1) Add corresponding lubricating oil to each position;
(2) Check whether the screws on the upper/lower riveting blades (for the crimping portion) are locked securely;
(3) Check whether the air pressure is higher than 4.5KG/cm²;
(4) Check whether the pushing terminal is at correct position;
(5) Check whether the material debris is cleared away thoroughly; (6) After startup of the machine, depress the pedal switch to check for abnormal sound in the machine.
B. Operating Method
(1) Importing of the terminal: First take the front end of the terminal out of the terminal rack and insert it into the guiding board (Fig.2/15) until the bottom terminal-guiding plate is reached. Then place the terminal horizontally on the lower riveting blade (Fig.7/5);
(2) Placing of electric wires: Put the electric wires into the trunking on the crawler belt and make the front end of wires contact with the wire baffle surface (Fig.2/14). Then depress the pedal switch to make the wires attach to the crawler belt and move from left to right for further treatment until it is riveted with the terminal;
(3) Adjustment of wire front end position: Adjust the wire baffle (Fig.2/14) back and forth until it reaches the position necessary for wire length. Then lock the screws securely on the wire baffle;
(4) Fine adjustment of the stripping depth of the stripping blade: Loosen the nuts (Fig.4/21) and adjust the screws (Fig.4/22). The blade can be adjusted by turning the screws clockwise to reduce the depth or anticlockwise to increase the depth. After adjustment, lock the nuts;
(5) Adjustment of wire stripping distance: Loosen the nuts (Fig.4/7) and adjust the screws (Fig.4/8). The distance can be adjusted by turning the screws clockwise to reduce the distance or anticlockwise to increase the distance. After adjustment, lock the screws;
(6) Adjustment of wire clamping block: Loosen screws (Fig.2/18) on the wire clamping block, lift the block (Fig.2/20), put the wires into the wire trunking and then clamp the electric wires with the block in a manner preferably not to damage the wires. After adjustment, lock the screws securely to fix the block;
(7) Adjustment of riveting height: Loosen the screws (Fig.8/11) and adjust the column (Fig.6/15). The riveting height can be adjusted by turning the column clockwise to reduce the riveting height or anticlockwise to increase the height. After adjustment, lock the screws securely;
(8) Adjustment of feeding claw position: Loosen screws on the feeding rack (Fig.7/19) and properly turn the rack (Fig.7/18) until the tip of feeding claw piece (Fig.7/24) extends right into the circular hole of the terminal belt. After adjustment to the correct position, lock the screws securely on the rack;
