People know that jaw crusher always crush big size material but are easy to eat the iron material during the crushing. So, how to protect the machine when the jaw crusher meet the hard material or overloaded?
With above question, we visited a technician who has been engaged in the R&D to jaw crusher. Here below we would like to share the answer.
Toggle plate breaking
The breaking of toggle plate is the earliest and widely used way to protect jaw crusher. Toggle plate is a important part under the movable jaw plate. Once the toggle plate breaking, jaw crusher can not work too. So that the machine can not be damaged by the overload. It is very easy to change the toggle plate, and because the toggle plate is very simple, so, easy to produce and cost is low. Here we also would like to discuss the design of the toggle plate. It is a plate whose middle part is very thin but two ending is very thick, for better performance, the toggle plate also with grate in side. And by this way, the weakness of the middle part will be the breaking place.
On-off device
Learn from the car design, we give the function of on-off device to the jaw crusher. Once the jaw crusher meets the overheard material, the on-off device will work and stop the jaw crusher working. So that the motor and jaw crusher has a good protection.
Hydraulic protection
This is very advanced. A lot of manufacture prompted the pull rod and spring device like cone crusher. This hydraulic protection system can protect the jaw crusher by adjust the oil pressure. Through the adjustment, the output of the jaw crusher can be changed. This way not only protects the machine and also gives more space to adjust the output size of jaw crusher. It is a breakthrough development of modern science and technology in the crusher industry
Anyway, the protection in only one side to use the machine, daily maintenance is very important too.
