Choke manifold is necessarydevice to control the well kick successfully and execute the pressure controltechnology on oil/gas well in the course of drilling, as it is, the device isadopted to execute new drilling-well’s technique of balance pressure, which canavoid pollution of oil-layer, improve the speed of drilling and control blowouteffectively. One end of the device connects with the side flange of BOP spool.When BOP closes, it can control the finite pressure from casing by adjustingthe choke valve’s opening, so balanced drilling can work under minimumpressure-difference.
In case of increase of thewell head pressure, the kill manifold can provide a means of pumping heavydrilling fluid into the well to balance bottom hole pressure so that well kickand blowout can be prevented. In this case, the increasing well head pressurealso can be released directly through blowdown lines connected to the killmanifold so as to release bottom hole pressure, or the water and extinguishingagent can be injected into the well using the kill manifold. The check valveson the kill manifold only allow injection of kill fluid or other fluids intothe well bore through themselves, but do not allow any backflow so as toperform the kill operation or other operations.
The ZJGH-35S drillingmud manifold consists of the Z23Y-35/100 & Z23Y-35/50 mud valve, high pressure spherical union, highpressure core union, tee, high pressure hose, elbow, pressure gauge, and pupjoint etc.
Ground valve-groupadopts gooseneck type tee with compact structure, little fluid resistance andlarge power effectuality. Adaptor spool adopted on rigid valve-group can bedirectly used as single pipe on site.
The high pressure unionsare made from high-strength alloy steels and heat treated, featuring tightmake-up and easy break-out. The special machine tool is used for themanufacture of the unions. The fine machined sphere and core work together withO-rings to provide sealing.
The sealing surfaces ofboth the gate and seat of the Z23Y-5000psi mud valve are built up using hardalloy overlays for erosion and corrosion resistance, which prolongs the mud valve’sservice life, reduces the operating torques and makes the operation easy.
With the walls thickenedas applicable and heat treated, the elbow, reducing pipe, tee and cross aremade from high strength alloy steels and can fully meet the strength andcorrosion requirements.
In order to ensure the product quality, theparts that require high precision are manufactured using special technology andall pressure-containing parts are hydrostatically tested prior to assembly.
