The alternator is designed and built to withstand tropical conditions. Diesel AC Generator generally conforms to IEC 34-1/34-2 , BS 4999/5000 and IS: 4722-2001 with enclosures rating IP 23 is the standard version, satisfying IEC 34-5/IS : 4691/DIN VDE 0530-5 requirements. Diesel AC Generator is dynamically balanced , brushless type, screen protected, revolving field, self excited, self regulated through an AVR. The alternator has the following features:

1. +- 1.0 % Voltage regulation (max.) in static conditions

2. IP: 23 protection with insulation class H

3. Permissible overload of 10% for one hour in 12 hours of operation.

The main stator provides power for excitation of the exciter field via AVR. Output power of exciter\'s rotor is input to that of mains through 3-phase full wave rectifier. Connected with piezoresistance for restraining surge voltage and avoiding the impact caused by short circuit or parallel synchronization loss. Exciter\'s Stator is equipped with permanent magnetic steel, it can make generator starting smoothly in any occasions. Voltage regulation (0.5 %) and low frequency protection, exterior voltage adjustment of SX440, MX341 and MX321 suitable for the generator with permanent magnetic generator (PMG).
