Non-bonded mesh sand control screen – fine formations

Non-bonded mesh screen includes a perforated base pipe, a non-bonded mesh filter and dual shroud. The dual shroud with the central non-bonded mesh filter is a kind of filter cartridge, which ensures it can be combined with any size or material of base pipe. Dual shrouded non-bonded mesh sand screen is often used as a standalone system.

The big advantage of non-bonded mesh screen over wire wrapped screen lies in its better performance in unconsolidated formations. When it comes to very unfavorable conditions such as high percentage of fine formations, dual shrouded screen will not plug off.
