FAG spherical roller bearings have proved highly effective wherever high loads are present and there is a need to compensate for shaft deflections or misalignment of bearing seats. FAG E1 bearing, the radial and axial load carrying capacity as well as the security against ring breakage has been increased, while the bearing temperature has been reduced.

Usually Spherical Roller bearing with an inner diameter bigger than 120mm are called Large Spherical Roller Bearings, such as FAG22228SK-M. These bearings are generally with machined brass cage to meet higher application requirements of vibrating, high load and high temperature.

FAG E1 spherical roller bearings are available with an outside diameter of more than 320mm, in this range, they are used to replace bearings with a rigid central rib on the inner ring. As a result, the improved price /performance ratio of the ER1 design is available for significantly wider range of applications.
