The lap joint flange ispractically identical to a slip-on flange except it has a radius at theintersetion of the bore and flange face. This radius is necessary to have theflange accommodate a lap joint sutb end. Normally, a lap joint flange and thelap joint stub end are matched together in an assemblysystem. Lap joint flanges with a hub have published specificationsthat range from 1/2" thru 24". Sizes above 24" are produced aslap joints to slip on dimensions.
