Most of MEGATRO NAVIGATION TOWER design without guy wired, tower foundationmade of concrete, and tower body cylinder welded from steel sheets ofsufficient thickness, which enable the tower structure solid and stable.

As to the lifting system, stairways, platform, base of the antenna pedestal andlighting system, we all tailor them according to client actual requirements andsite conditions. Besides, theft protection system and a fire alarm system arealso necessary. The navigation tower and its entire perimeter shall also have asecurity system of surveillance cameras distributed all over the area. Thereshall be a possibility to interface the security system of surveillance cameraswith the remote sites.

MEGATRO Navigation towers fabricated by solid steel pipe with angle or bracing members,which provides great strength, low weight and wind resistance, and economy inthe use of materials. Lattices of triangular cross-section are most common, andsquare lattices are also widely used.

After fabrication all Navigation towers are delivered to the galvanizingfacility to be Hot DIP Galvanized. Towers are processed through the facility byCaustic Cleaning, Pickling, and then Fluxing. These strict procedures insureyears of maintenance free towers.

Design Requirements and Basic of Design
MEGATRO TOWERS will guarantee the overall safety of the tower. MEGATRO TOWERSwill submit design calculation report for member design of tower and overallstructural stability of the structure, which is signed by a charted structuralEngineer.
MEGATRO will supply the skeleton to scale, showing the assembly of thestructures, the antenna mounting levels, other detail drawings etc.
The calculation method to be adopted for tower design will be decided byMEGATRO TOWERS with the consent of the client.
All materials will comply with British Standard (hereinafter called BS),Japanese Industrial Standard (hereinafter called JIS) or equivalent standards.The permissible stress of the materials will comply with BS, standard byArchitectural Institute of Japan (hereinafter call AIJ) or equivalent. Thestandards adopted for all materials will be stated separately.

General Design Criteria
Mast will be designed based on GB, BS 8100, TIA/EIA-222-G-2006, IS 802 &IS875 or equivalent international standards.
The wind loading on the tower and antennas mounted on it will withstand aground level wind velocity of 140 Km/h and survival speed of 180 Km/h includingwith height in accordance with latest BSI CP3: Chapter V: Part 2: BritishStandard (BS)
Antenna that will be considered when it calculates wind areas will be Six GSMantennas, Two each 600 mm diameter microwave dishes & one 1.2m Ø Microwaveplus all the feeders for GSM and MW antennas.

MEGATRO submit the complete data showing the drag factor from various angles ofwind on the antenna offered.
