Alattice tower or truss tower is a freestanding frameworktower. They canbe used as transmission towers especially for voltages above 100 kilovolts,as a radio tower (a self-radiating tower or as a carrier for aerials) or as anobservation tower or other type tower such as torch tower. Manyfreestanding towers are lattice tower, whichare manufactured usingmounted steel profiles.

Latticed towers are manufactured using mounted steelprofiles. This type of towers has all the advantages of freestanding towerssuch as great reliability and no need for servicing. Monopole also belong tofreestanding tower, compare to guyed mast, monopole not tied by stay wire.
