Description:Knitmesh Knitmesh is an efficent packing material for distillation columns which operates under vaccum and at atmospheric pressures. The mesh disperses the liquid in a thin film and prevent "dry" surfaces and chanelling which occurs in less efficent packing. Multifilament meshes give the best results due to their capillary action. Free volume of upto 95% can be achieved with filament surfaces areas of upto 1600 square metres per cubic metre.
