CERAMIC FOR THE RESISTER
Ceramic materials are highly suitable for insulation. No other material can compare the properties of high degree as well as ceramics.
Material;
Aluminum Oxide Ceramic
Cordierite Ceramic
Steatite Ceramic
Boron Nitride
Aluminum Oxide Ceramic
Aluminum Oxide Ceramic is outstanding material properties, The higher aluminum content, the better performance the material will be.
Typical characteristics include;
Insulation strength at high temperature
Shape stability
Cordierite Ceramic
Cordierite Ceramic contain additives of mullite, corundum and silicon carbide,
Typical characteristics include;
Low thermal expansion
Insulation strength at high temperature
Corrosion resistance
Comparative favorable production costs
Steatite Ceramic
Typical characteristics include;
Good to excellent electrical prosperities
High resistivity
Very low dielectric loss factor
Moderate strength
Low density
Boron Nitride
BN is made using a hot pressing process, and comes as a lubricious white solid. It can be machined using standard carbide drills. Due to crystal stucture, BN is anisotropic electrically and mechanically. BN exhibits a high electrical resistance, low dielectric constant and loss tangent, low thermal expansion, chemical inertness, and good thermal shock resistance.
There are several different purity levels for this material. All offer very high thermal conductivity and stability in inert and reducing atmospheres up to 2800°C, and in 850°C in oxidizing environments.
