ISOPIPE UV combines the effective elastomeric foam insulation with a coating of a specially developed polymer membrane that offers: UV protection, Enhanced Vapour Barrier, and Tough Abrasive cover Forming a uniform insulation resulting in: A) Increased steam diffusion resistance (m) more than 80%. ISOPIPE UV addresses the need of UV protection particularly for external applications, where the insulation material is exposed to direct sunlight and other weather conditions. ISOPIPE UV is ideal for piping used in, External Solar heaters and Hot-water Boilers, Air Conditioning (split and Central units), Central Heating, refrigerating applications (chilled water), external plumbing (hot and cold pipelines), ventilation units and also marine application. INOVATION: Until today, elastomeric foam (closed-cell) insulation, especially when used outdoors was exposed to weather conditions (UV rays, rain, wind etc) and other elements (dust, insects, small animals). These conditions attacked the insulation and particularly due to the harmful UV rays had deteriorating effect on the performance and lifetime of the insulating material. This was treated with either painting the insulation or wrapping with a plastic tape. The R&D of 3I, managed to combine the effective elastomeric insulation with a specially developed outer covering (polymer membrane), forming one unified body. Thus eliminating the need for any further external treatment or covering, without compromising the flexibility, thermal performance or any characteristics of the elastomeric Insulation.
