UIP (USB Internet Phone) is a new generation of telecommunications product. It allows one to make telephone calls using a broadband internet connection. This solution based on VolP telephone works through a USB port connection. It is a combination of USB flash disk, USB Audio Device and USB CDROM technologies, together with dial-up software and VolP setup. When the UIP device is plugged into an internet online PC, the SoftPhone program will automatically run, retrieving the internet login and password from the VoIP. The user can then just key in either a network or landline telephone number to make a call. When the UIP is un-plugged, the telephone software will close automatically, without affecting the PC system operation. UIP may also be used as a normal portable USB flash disk for data storage.
