Malaria P.f./P.v Test Kit
Malaria P.f./P.v Test Kit can be applied for testing, in vitro , the presence of Plasmodium falciparum malaria in blood. The test is an antigen-capture assay detecting presence of a specific soluble protein, histidine-rich protein II (PfHRP-II), and lactate dehydrogenase (pLDH) antigens generated by P/Vivax, making useof the immune colloidal gold technique and double-antibody sandwich assay. During detection, when a sample contains P.falciparum or P.vivax-specific antigen, it may react to the labeled antibody to generate complexes. The generated complexes wil migrate forward to the detection area along the nitrocellulose membrane under the chromatographic effect and be captured by the antibody on the nitrocellulose membrane, forming a rea reaction line respectively in detection zoone T1 and T2, which indicates that the result is positive for P.falciparum or P.vivaz. If a sample contains no plasmodium antigen, no red band shall emerge in the detection area, indicating that the result is negative. No matter whether a sample contains the substance under test or not a red band may merge in the C quality control zone.
Warning and precautions
1. All positive results must be confirmed by an alternative method.
2. Treat all specimens as though potentially infectious.
3. Wear gloves and protective clothing when handling specimens.
4. Standard safety precautions in the handling of bioharzardous material.
5. Should be observed in specimen handling. Dispose of used lancets.
6. Capillary tubes and cassettes in designated biohazard disposal containers.
7. Devices used for testing should be autoclaved before disposal.
8. Do not use kit materials beyond their expiration dates.
9. Do not interchange reagents from different lot of kit.
