Do these headphones work with android as well as IOS?

Yes! They work with Amy device with a standard audio input. My wife was hesitant as a non-technical head but absolutely loves the fit sound, and is wearing them for her next marathon tomorrow

does this item have an in-line mic/volume control, and if so, is it compatible with both android and apple?

Thanks for your inquiry. This model has an in-line mic, and a 3 button control for Apple devices. JBL does make another model that the button will control Android devices. Which do you prefer?
