Description
The device evaluates high frequency electromagnetic radiation received by the antenna up to a frequency of 12000 MHz and converts it into a visual and audible signal, taking into account all known types of modulation. An integrated microcontroller continuously calculates the rms value of the incoming signals and generates a response threshold when the "KillRef" button is pressed.
Acoustic signalling of the field strength is achieved by means of a built-in speaker or earphones that can be plugged into the device. A built-in, high capacity, rechargeable battery (LiPo) allows a continuous operating time of more than 2 hours.
Application
All known transmission sources, such as WLAN routers,DECT telephones and stations, cell phones, etc., should be turned off before scanning a room for bugs.
Then stand in the centre of the room and switch the device on. You should hear a slow ticking sound and the display should not show any signal strength. In case a field
strength is already displayed, briefly press and release the "KillRef" button.
Then slowly search the room, taking care to approach all the possible hiding places. As you approach a mini spy (or a different transmission source), the acoustic signal intensifies and the signal on the display increases. If the signal on the display reaches the edge of the display screen (full display bar) as you approach a source, press the "KillRef" button again. Doing so optimally adjusts the sensitivity level and expands the search area, enabling the precise localisation of the bugging device.
If you would like to repeat the search in the same room, stand in the middle of the room again and press the "KillRef" button; the sensitivity level will automatically be set to a starting value.HCM1 Intelligence ·
„KillRef“- button
Pressing the "KillRef" button causes complex algorithms to execute for an optimal setting of the device. The user does not need to have any knowledge of the internal functions
and the button can be pressed at practically any time. This always generates optimal settings for the continued search.
Examples:
Pressing the "KillRef" button to start the search First stand in the middle of the room that you would like to search. Then press the button. This adjusts the sensitivity to the respective basic field strength of the room; signalling will only begin once this basic field strength is exceeded.
Pressing the "KillRef" button in case of reflections Reflections occur when electromagnetic waves reflect off walls or objects and overlap each other at certain points in the room. This is why, when walking about the room, you will occasionally
encounter field strength maxima where no transmission source can be found – often only a few metres away from the actual transmitter. This effect can be confusing or misleading. If you press the "KillRef" button in such cases, the device cannot see these reflections and they no longer interfere with the search.
The different antennas each have a specific frequency range in which they are
- Short Omni Antenna 900 – 12000 MHz
- Long Omni Antenna 20 – 1500 MHz
- Large LogPer Antenna 900 - 2500 MHz
- Small LogPer Antenna 2000 - 11000 MHz
Charging
The device features intelligent charging electronics and thus ensures an ideal battery charging status and a long battery life. Charging time is approximately 2 hours. Charging for longer than 2 hours is not a problem, as electronic overcharge protection is included. The display shows the charging status.
IMPORTANT: USE ONLY THE ORIGINAL CHARGER, INCLUDED WITH THE DELIVERY.
