Our Zirconia Sand Paper Flap Disc is an upgrade from the standard Aluminum Oxide(A/O) versions you find at big box stores.  Zirconia abrasive material lasts longer and stays sharper because it fractures at failure leaving a fresh jagged edge.  A/O at failure falls off leaving you with a slower tool and needing a new one sooner.  Our Flap Discs are very aggressive on removing paint, rust, stock material on all metals even Stainless Steel.  They leave a near polished surface and are great on cleaning up welds.
