 Procedure for SMC (sheet moulding compound) process:        

            

 

1. The material of moulds will be depended on your requirements on products and total quantity. Usually we use steel 45#, 60#, Chrome 40, P20 or 718.   2. Core and Cavity surface with Chrome plating can prolong mould life and surface glossy of products.

1.We have our own complete production line for fiberglass sheet, from raw material, including fiberglass mat, resin and other fillers.   2.We have material engineers, who can adjust the material components according to your detailed requests such as strength, fire resistance rating, color and so on.

1.We have compression machine from 60 tons to 2000 tons, which enable us to produce items with maximum projected area 4 square meters       2.According to products, we will adjust working pressure, working temperature,solidifying time for the machine.

1. Trim the burrs and then polish the surface. Painting is available if you required painted surface   2.Special fextures are used to correct the deformation caused by the draft angle if necessary.

Every piece will be wrapped with air bubble paper, then packed into carton boxes or plywood shelves.

 

 

Hand lay up process:

Procedure for Hand lay up process:                                            

Fiberglass and resin:   1. Gel coat: The color is decided by the gel coat,with thickness of about 0.3-0.5mm. UV resistant can be added.   2. Surface mat:  This is to avoid the air bubble on the surface, and also make fiberglass mat  invisible from the finished surface.   3. Fiberglass mat: Normally we use 300g/m2 (0.6mm thickness) and 450g/m2 (0.9mm thickness). Accordig to your requests on the thickness and strength,we will calculate how many layers of fiberglass mat should be used.

Demould and trim: 1. Solidify:  The time required for solidifying depends on thickness and weather condition.Normally 24 hours for one piece to solidify to avoid any deformation after demoulding.   2. Demould: After solidified,we will get out the product from the mould   3. Cut and trim:  We will mark the trim line and hole positions on the mould,then trim according to the marks to gaurantee the mounting dimensions

Air bubble test and repair   1. Air bubble test: Every piece will be put into the oven under 44 celsius degree for about 20 minutes,so that the air bubbles can break out then our workers will repair the surface.   2. Repair and surface treatment: we will make the air bubble repaired and treat the surface with average gloss.
