A natural source of such negative ions is the salt crystal lamps and tea light holders. Big pieces of salt are carved out from a mine, and then shaped in different forms and sold all over the world. When warmed up by fire or a light bulb, they emit negative ions, which have an energizing effect, such as the one we feel when we are on a mountaintop, by the seaside, or after a thunderstorm.
