Australian roof sarking is also called wall wrap. It have medium duty and heavy duty. Medium duty roof sarking designed for use in all wall system types, and is also suitable for use under metal roofs. The reflective foil side provides extra R-value when installed facing an air cavity, and the multi-layer structure provides superior strength, flexibility and durability. Classified as high water barrier, medium vapour barrier, acts as a barrier to radiant heat, moisture ingress, draughts and dust penetration.

Heavy duty is a double-sided radiant barrier, designed for use under metal deck roofs where temperatures can exceed 80℃, and with battened out cladding where an extra air space is created. Ideal for steel and timber framed roofs and brick veneer walls, it provides extra R-value from inward and outward facing reflective surfaces when used in conjunction with adjacent air spaces.

Applications & Benifits of Australian roof sarking: 

Wall insulation, also called roof sarking/ wall wrap is used in brick veneer exterior walls. The primary purpose of wall insulation is to protect against dirt, dust, draughts and condensation. Its integral thermal insulation properties adds to the energy efficiency of the wall system when a non ventilated air space is provided to the reflective foil side. Additionally, the installation of wall insulation will add to the overall thermal performance of the wall when a clear airspace of at least 20mm or more is provided at the reflective side of the foil face.Tough enough to withstand the rigours of construction, it allows work to progress inside the home before the brick work is completed. However, being a secondary walling material, wall insulation is not designed to withstand prolonged direct exposure to the elements. Accordingly, upon application of this product the outer wall cladding should be installed without delay. Reducing glare from the external face of a building is an important site construction and road safety requirement. Wionall insulat has a green backing which is installed to the outside of the building to reduce reflection to acceptable levels.
