Crossgirder Chain Grate Coal Fired Furnace
General introduction of chain grate burner:
Crossgirder type chain grate burner is a kind of mechanized, compact-structure, advanced-technology multi- layer combustion equipment. It can be used as combustion equipment widely used in large layer combustion boiler (for evaporation of 20 ~ 120 t/h) of the chain grate boiler and various kinds of special equipment for heating and drying. It is mostly build by refractory bricks, therefore it has long service life. The combustion effect is stable, and thermal efficiency can reach 80%. Widely used in chemical, food, building, starch drying in starch processing industry, etc. It is appropriate for burning bituminous coal, lignite and peat. With special design it can also be used to burn bagasse, firewood, rice husk and other biomass materials as fuel.
Structure and features of chain grate burner:
The grates are composed of the following parts: 1) frames; 2) the upper and lower guide rail; 3) furnace chain; 4) the front axle assembly and the rear guide rail; 5) side seal; 6) ash discharge device; 7) coal bucket; 8) front air door; 9) duct.
Its operation process: coal from the coal scuttle drops by gravity to grate front end, moving slowly from front to the rear along with the grate, entering the burner chamber by coal gate. Coal gate height can be adjusted freely, in order to control the thickness of coal layer. Air from the air supply chamber below the fire grate partition gets fellowship with coal layer movement direction. By radiation heating, coal in the chamber of the burner, in turn, to complete the preheating and drying, burning, burning, until the burnt out. Ash increases with grate’s moving to the rear side of slag plate (commonly known as the eagle iron) and fall into the back side of the water-cooled ash bucket, to be discharged by the slag discharge machine.
