The  railway container flat wagon is mainly used to transport ISO containers, it is designed and constructed with emphasis on light-tare-weight, minimum maintenance and ease of repair and replacement of parts. The major components of flat wagon such as bogie and underframe will be robust, durable and reliable. Tare weight of the railway flat wagon will be kept to a minimum to allow maximum payload to be carried within the maximum permissible axle load on rail.

The  railway container flat wagon is mainly consists of carbody, locking device, braking system, coupler and draft gear, bogie, ect.

1. Underframe:

 The underframe of railway contaienr flat wagon will be a bridge girder type and of light weight design with substantially well braced. All welded construction will be of best quality steel conforming to one of the international standard material specifications. The finished underframe will be perfectly square without any twist in horizontal plane.

2. Locking device (twist lock)

 The railway flat wagon could be used to transport ISO containers. The containers will be secured to the flat wagon by twist locks, multi-purpose retractable type. The twist locks and associated mountings will be capable of withstanding the maximum forces acting in the respective directions against the twist locks. The twist lock is assembled for securing the ISO 20ft or 40ft containers.

3.Braking system:

 The X70 railway flat wagon will be installed with the conventional single pipe gradual release automatic air brake incorporated with slack adjuster and automatic load brake device. Each flat wagon can be coupled with the air brake train. The application and release operation of the air brake system will be quick and uniform.

The Chinese, UIC and AAR standard automatic air braking system could be used.

The NSW hand brake machine is assembled too.

4. Coupler and draft gear

 At each end of the X70 railway flat wagon will be provided with a high performance coupling device (high tensile couplers and high capacity draft gears) suitable for hauling in rake formation of heavy train as mentioned uphill at the maximum gradient.

5.Bogie

 The bogie of railway flat wagon can be operated with safe high speed capability, greater stability in curve, hunting-free performance, wheel/rail wear reduction, improved ride quality and extended life cycle. 

The bogie frame shall be of casting or fabricated type and made from the best quality steel.

6. Warranty period: 12 months after commissioning on site.

Service life: 25 years.

7. Spare parts and technical training will be provided for free.
