How to use hive tool
The hive tool is important for removing the lid to the hive, as well as for separating and cleaning the frames situated in the hive box that are filled with honey. The tool fits snugly in the palm of the beekeeper's hand, and must be cleaned from time to time to remove excess beeswax that fills large gaps in the hive. The tool also cleans off propolis, which is the sap used by bees to fill the small gaps between hives, and honey. You can clean a hive tool by sticking it in a hot fire or stabbing it in the ground to prevent bee diseases from

spreading amongst hives.
