CEP-1 is a field applied heat shrinkable tubular sleeve designed for field corrosion protection of buried and exposed steel pipelines. The inner layer is two-components epoxy primer which coated steel pipe; the middle layer is hot melt adhesive; the outer layer is the modified radiation crosslinked polyethylene backing.

Features and Benefits
CEP-1 heat shrinkable tubular sleeve is mainly applied to pipe joint corrosion protection, reducer, and seal of valve. Its circle shrinkable ratio is ≥50%. A high-performance heat sensitive adhesive effectively bonds to steel substrates and common pipeline coatings including polyethylene, polypropylene, fusion bonded epoxy and coal tar epoxy to form a reliable seal protection.
Excellent coating compatibility
CEP-1 can be applied to a wide range of pipe coating including 2 layers polyethylene, 3 layers polyethylene, 3 layers polypropylene, fusion bonded epoxy, insulated jacket, coal tar primer. It can be used for corrosion protection of pipe joint and corrosion seal of reducer or valve. The effectiveness and excellence have been approved by many pipeline projects.
Apply with the primer at "wet state"
The heat shrinkable sleeve is applied on the "wet state" of primer allowing formation of strong mechanical and chemical bonds, allows fast application, combined with high performance.
Rapid installation
The adoption of new materials and new technology further predigests the installation. The liquid epoxy primer provided by XIPU can be used at a low preheating temperature which between 40 ºC~60ºC, quick, reliable field installation is easy to accomplish.
Long term corrosion protection
CEP-1 provides excellent resistance to soil creeping stresses and chemical attack, resulting in effective long-term corrosion protection. The high performance crosslinked backing in combination with adhesive can be engineered for different environment.
