how to choose machines for a pellet mill producing line for your raw material
for the above mentioned machines it is the machines in a complete production line, usually people do not need so much machines to make up such a complicated production line, so choose suitable machine according to your raw material is very important for your investment:
1. if your raw material is sawdust and moisture lower than 18%, you only need the pellet mill to produce pellets, the cooler & screener to cooling down the pellets, if you need to pack the pellets into bags you can also choose the packing machine
2. if your raw material is sawdust and moisture is higher than 18%, you need a dryer to reduce the moisture and then need the pellet mill, cooler & screener, also if you need to pack the pellets into bags, you can choose the packing machine
3. if your raw material is wood chips, wood blocks, wood branches and small wood logs diameter less than 200mm.
first, you need to hammer mill to refine the size of the raw material to sawdust
second, if the moisture is lower than 18% you do not need dryer, if higher than that you need a dryer
third, you need pellet mill, cooler & screener, also the packing machine is optional for you
4. if your raw material is big diameter wood logs
first you need a wood chipper to process the wood logs into wood chips

1. s pellet mill producing line debarking procedure
Our wood debarking machine is designed specially for remove the barks of wood logs with high debarking efficiency >95%, the machine is made up of main body, motor, reducer, roller, belt. It is powered by electricity, the motor drive the reducer and then pass the strength to the roller, during the roller running, there is teeth on the roller, the teeth can move the bark of the wood logs, then the barks will fall down to the belt and transfer it out of the machines, the wood logs will come through the debarking machine and discharge the wood at the end.
2. pellet mill producing line chiping procedure
Drum wood chipper is an ideal equipment to produce large capacity and good quality wood chips, which is widely used in wood chips production industry, paper plants, particle and fiber board plants, etc. This machine is made up of machine base, knife roller, feeding roller, belt conveyor, hydraulic pressure system components. The machine base use high strength steel, which is the supporting of the foundation. The knife roller equips two blade to cut the materials. The feeding roller can fluctuate in a certain range with the help of hydraulic system according to the thickness of different raw materials. The qualified chips falls through the sieve hole, and the big pieces can not come thought there, so they will be chipped again to be qualified.

The hammer mill is applied mainly to grinding the raw material to make it suitable to make pellets. The hammer mill is composed of electric motor, coupling, bearing, rotor, hinge pin, hammers 8mm pore size sieve plate. The wood chips are transferred into the hammer mill by feeding conveyor and them enter into the grinding chamber. The wood chips are bated by the high speed rotating hammers, then hit the sieve plate and bounce back. The beating and hitting will be continuous with the high speed move of the blades. Wood chips will be grinded by the impact force from hammers and friction force from sieve plate. Our hammer mill adopts water drops shape grinding chamber which causes more times impact force and enhances grinding efficiency. Particles would come across the sieve with the help of centrifugal force and wind power. This hammer mill is designed to process the wet wood chips into sawdust with high efficiency. The hammers of this machines is made of tungsten carbide, which is durable.
4. pellet mill producing line drying procedure
The best moisture content to pelletizing is 12 to 18%, so our rotary dryer is designed to reduce the moisture of the unqualified raw material, for which the moisture is too high. The rotary dryer is made up of stove, rotary dryer main body, air fan, cyclone and air lock. The rotary dryer can reduce the moisture of the sawdust from 40 to 45% to 12%. It adopts hot air to reduce to remove the the moisture content of the raw material. The hot air is generated through heat stove at one end of the rotary body, then the hot air will flow with the help of air fan’s suction and when raw material comes through the rotary body, hot air pulled over the material and they product heat exchange, thus the material will be dried with high efficiency.
The main body of the drum dryer is three passage, the sawdust come through the dryer when it arrive the end it will be be back to the beginning and then come to the end again, thus it can move three times in the drum dryer, thus enhance the drying efficiency and drying effect.
5. pellet mill producing line pelletizing procedure
The pellet machine is the main equipment in the production line to make pellets, it compress the dry finely pulverized material and transform them into a cylinder shape pellet at a temperature of 80 degree. The raw material is delivered into the pallet machine though the conveyor and then transferred into a rotating ring die by a feeder. Finely pulverized material will be pressed into ring die through two press rollers. The resulting pressure compresses the material and extrudes it through the holes in the die.
Driving gear adopts the high precision gear transmission structure. The bearing is international famous brand from Sweeden, which is efficiency and durable. The ring die adopts the couping fastening method, which is increasing the speed of discharge comparing with the past bolt fastening method. As a result, the capacity is 10-15% higher than the belt transmission structure. As per the ring die and roller of the wood pellet machine, we have the fine machining with the alloyed steel. And our heating treatment is also different from the other domestic manufacturer, our carburizing treatment make the depth of hard facing to 2mm, which improve the anti-abrasion of the ring die and roller more than 10 times, it can save the production cost heavily.
7. pellet mill producing line cooling & screening procedure
The cooler is used to reduce the temperature and moisture of the pellets, thus to acquire better hardness and strength. Also it can enhance the transport ability and storage ability
The vibrating screen after the cooler is used to removes underside produce and dust, which can be returned to the pallet mill
The cooler process is the refined technology of exposing processed product to an upward moving stream of ambient airflow. As the air rises through the product, it is warmed, increasing the moisture carrying capability of the air. The product entering at the top of the cooling chamber is exposed to the warmest air available within the cooler. The product and air have opposite flows, the gradual heat transfer greatly enhances the product quality and reduces stressing and fines.

After cooling, wood pellet would be packed into bags in order to avoid affected with damp. Packed pellet would be transferred by truck and sold.
We have packing machine to pack the pellets into abgs of 10-100kg/bag, for this kind of packing machine we have both heat sealer for plastic bags and straight stitching machine for woven bags
We also have another kind of packing machine, which can pack the pellets into jumbo bags with a range of 500-2000kg/bag.
