Precaution:
The rubber hose has plenty varieties and structures, and the service conditions are different, so the service life of rubber hose does not only depend on its quality, but also the proper use and maintenance. Therefore, even though the product has high quality, if it could not be used and maintained properly, the use quality and service life would be affected badly, even undue serious may occur that causes loss of properties, several precautions for use are provided as follows:
(1)The rubber hose and rubber hose assemblies can only be used to convey the designed materials, or the service life may be decreases or they may fail to work.
(2)Properly use the length of rubber hose, for the length of rubber hose may be changed under high pressure (-4%-+2%) and by mechanical movements.
(3)The rubber hose and rubber hoses assemblies should not be used under the pressure higher than designed working pressure (including impact pressure).
(4)Under the normal circumstances, the temperature of medium conveyed by the rubber hose and rubber hose assemblies should not be out of the range of -40degree to 120degree, or the service life may be decreased.
(5)The rubber hose and rubber hose assemblies should not be used when smaller than minimum bending radius of rubber hose, bending or flex should be avoided near the joint, otherwise, the hydraulic hose transmission and material conveyance may be obstructed or the rubber hose composite member may be damaged.
(6)The rubber hose and rubber hose assemblies should not be used when they are twisted.
(7)The rubber hose and rubber hose assemblies should be carried carefully, no drag and drop on the sharp-edged and rough surfaces are allowed, and they should not be bended and flattened.
(8)The rubber hose and rubber hose assemblies should be kept clean and the interior should be flushed (especially the acid conveying rubber hose, spray hose and mortar hose).
Foreign bodies should be prevented from entering the hose so as not to obstruct fluid conveyance and damage the equipment.
(9)The rubber hose and rubber hose assemblies exceeding the service life or shelf life can only be used after being evaluated by test.
2. Precautions for Transport and Storage of Rubber Hose
(1)Transport of Rubber Hose
Attention should be paid to the following points when loading and unloading the rubber hose:
Load and unload the hose gently.
The hose should be shipped neatly by classification, excessive bending of the hose should be avoided and no other heavy object should be piled on the hose.
It is forbidden to mix the hose with acid, alkali, oil and organic solvent and inflammable and explosive items; the hose should not touch with and explosive items, the hose should not touch with the goods with sharp edge directly.
As for the hose needed to be transported straightly, in case that the length is longer than the carriage, the exceeding part should be supported by bracket so as to prevent the hose from damage due to dragging and rubbing against the ground.
If it is necessary to place the hose in the open air(or workshops and docks)temporarily, the site should be flat and level, the hose should be laid flat and neatly with the cushion on the ground and cover on the top. No heavy object is piled on the hose; and the hose should not touch with heat source.
When carrying the hose, no drag is allowed. As for the heavy hose, lifting appliance or special tools should be adopted, and accidental damage to the hose should be avoided.
(2)Storage of Hose
a. The storehouse for storing should be kept clean and ventilated, of which the relative humidity should be lower than 80% and the temperature inside should be kept within the range of-15degree to40degree.And the direct sunlight and leaching and drenching by snow and rain should be avoided.
b. When storing the hose, they should be placed separately in accordance with different varieties and specifications, and marked with nameplate so as to access easily.
c. The hose should be stored as loosely as possible, in general, the hose with the inner diameter of being smaller than 76mm could be coiled in storage (but the inner diameter of spool should not be less than 15times of that of hose).
d. In order to prevent deformation of hose due to squeeze in storage, the stacking should not be too high, and in general, the stacking should not be higher than1.5m;”stack transfer” of hose in storage is required and at least one stack transfer is required every quarter.
e. During storage of hose, the hose should not touch with the acid, alkali, oil and organic solvent or other corrosive liquid and gad and should be 1m far away from the heat source.
f. In general, the storage period of hose should not be more than two years. And the early stored hoses should be used first so as not to affect the quality of hose due to excessive storage period.
3. Precautions for Ordering
(1)Correctly select the variety, specification and model of rubber hose in accordance with the actual use requirements like temperature and concentration of conveyed mediums, and conditions like working pressure and use environment.
(2)The general rubber hose should be ordered in accordance with the product catalog.
(3)The pilot production and manufacture of rubber hose, of which the variety and specification are not listed in the catalog and there are special technology and performance requirement, could be conducted after negotiation between the both parties.
(4)The length of special rubber hose could be manufactured in accordance with customer’s requirements.
