Counter flow Cooler cools the pellets with high temperature and high humidity by using the principle of counter flow cooling, avoiding that cool air directly meets hot pellets to make pellets cool rapidly with a result of crack of pellet surface. In addition, airlock is used for feeding and air-in area is large, so the cooling effect is remarkable. Moreover, this machine is low in energy consumption and convenient in operation.
Cooler is mainly used for cooling of pellet feed in the feed pelleting section. It cools the pellet feed coming from pellet mill and with a temperature of 70°C~90°C to a temperature 3°C~5°C slightly higher than ambient temperature, and is capable of lowering to a safety moisture content. The cooled pellets not only improves in hardness but also can prevent from going mouldy, which facilitates the transportation and storage of pellet feed.
1).The hot and wet pellets which come from the Pellet Press enter into the cooler from the Air Lock on the top of cooler and through taper type distributor equipment which can make pellets to different top, bottom, left, right and middle parts enter in the cooler.
2).When Cooler starts to work, the pellets will be accumulated gradually. When the position of pellets arrives to Level Detector, the brake motor will be connected to start work. Through Reducer and eccentric mechanism to drive the Discharge Frame to move from left to right to discharge the materials.
3).Fan is always running during the whole cooling process. The pellets in the cooler flow from top to bottom and the Air flows from bottom to top. The above two flow positions are opposite which can form counter-flow cooling. Therefore, this Cooler belongs to counter-flow type.
4).The pellets will stay in the cooler for some time, the natural air will enter into the cooler from the bottom. It will make heat exchange through the material’s layer in the body of Cooler. The fan will pump the Air and take out of the heat and moisture. It can realize the functions of Cooling and reduce the moisture at the same time.
