expanded metal mesh

Introduction

Expanded metal is a form of metal stock made by shearing a metal plate in a press,

so that the metal stretches, leaving diamond-shaped voids surrounded by interlinked

bars of the metal. The most common method of manufacture is to simultaneously

slit and stretch the material with one motion.

Materials

Aluminum plate, thin low carbon steel plate. Stainless steel plate. AL-MG alloy

plate, copper plate, nickel palte.

Process

Expanded: Each expanded metal sheet is expanded in the regular form and then

passed through a cold rolled reducing mill. In this process the length of the sheet

is elongated - usually about 5% - but the width of the sheet remains the same. 

Flattened: The sheet is then sent through a leveler to maintain its flatness. 

Galvanized:Hot dip galvanized or elec-galvanized  

Characteristic

triangle, scale hole, it's strong and wear-resisting, artistic.
