Kill Manifold Introduction
1.Application
When the well head pressure increases, it can be balanced by pumping heavy drilling fluid into the well via Kill Manifold, preventing blowout to occur; its connected open flow lines can be exploited to blow out directly, thereby release the well bottom pressure; and also can be used to crush cement to consolidate the well cementing operation, so as to inject pure water and extinguishing agent into the well. Via kill manifold check valve, well control fluid or other liquid can only inject into the well, and could not flow back to achieve the purpose of well control and other operation.
2.Mainly consists of check valve, gate valve and connecting pipeline. One side is connected to the blowout preventer spool, whereas the other side to the injection pumps. Both the kill manifold and the choke manifold are designed according to the API standard, and should be used together. Currently, the maximum pressure of our company’s kill manifold is 70MPa and its model is YG-70.Besides, our company also design products according our customers‘ needs.
3.Operating Requirement
(1)The operating pressure of all pipelines, gate valve and check valve must match that of the blowout preventer combination adopted.
(2)The kill manifold cannot work as the pipeline to daily pump the drilling fluid into the well.
Kill Manifold Introduction
1.Application
Kill Manifold is the necessary device to control well blowout and implement oil and gas well pressure control technology. In conditions of the blowout preventer closure, utilize the on and off of the choke valve to control certain casing pressure, so as to maintain the pressure in the well bottom always larger than that of stratum, preventing the stratum fluid to further flow into the well; Moreover, When close the well, The choke valve can also be used to release its pressure to achieve a soft well closure. When pressure inside the well reaches a certain limit, It can be used for blowout to protect the well head.
2.Its Composition and Structure
The choke manifold consists of check valves, gate valves, pipelines, pipe fittings and a pressure gauge. See above charts and gate valve section and choke valve section.
3.Operating Principle
When pressure inside the well increases, the on and off of the choke valve on the kill manifold can be used to discharge liquid inside the well to control casing pressure. When pressure in the casing pipe exceeds certain differential pressure, it can be blown out through the gate valve.
4.Choke Manifold Specification
The maximum pressure of our company’s choke manifold is 70MPa and its model is JG-SY-70.Besides, our company also design products according our customers‘ needs.
5.Operating Requirement
1.The operating pressure of choke manifold's all components should match that of the blowout preventer combination adopted;
2.Choke manifold should be installed within the operator's reach, and when installing, its pressure should be tested, its seal test pressure should be equal to its operating pressure;
3.Operating pressure gauge must be installed;
