Basic Design:

   A pillow block ball bearing is made up of a insert bearing and a bearing housing. The insert bearing is a single row deep groove ball bearing with a inner ring extended on one or both sides, and an outer ring has a crowned or cylindrical outside surface. A bearing housing is a bearing units which has a correspondingly sphered but concave bore.

Detailed Description:

    •The bearing units are ready-to-mount, greased and sealed units which enable intial errors of alignment to be compensated for. They are availiable as plummer block units, flanged units,  take-up units.

    •The housings of the units are produced in a veriety of designs and different materials: composite matrial referred to as Y-TECH, grey cast iron, sheet steel.

    •The insert bearing are single row deep groove ball bearing which are sealed at both sides and have a inner ring which is extended at one or both sides. Because of the special way in which they are locked on to the shaft, viz. by grup crew locking, eccentric locking collar, adapter sleeve, ConCentra locking.

    •The pillow block bearings are typically found in the following applications: agricultural machinery, condtruction equipment, conveyor systems, textile machines and fans as well as in machines for food and beverage processing and packaging.
