Solar&Waste Heat Ice Maker

I.Working Principles

 

1. Components

     Ammonia absorption refrigeration device comprises generator, absorber, circulation pump, condenser, evaporator, throttle and other components.

2. Material Composition

    Working medium includes ammonia and water, wherein the ammonia as the refrigerant and water as the absorbent.

3. Refrigeration Circulation

   Ammonia refrigerant circulation: concentrated aqueous ammonia solution in the generator is heat by the heating fluid from industrial production or the solar, and separating a certain amount refrigerant steam into the condenser, the refrigerant steam is cooled in the condenser and condensed into liquid; liquid refrigerant enters the evaporator after throttling and depressurization. Liquid refrigerant evaporates in the evaporator and resulting in cooling effect, the refrigerant turns into gas from liquid, and then enter the absorber and is absorbed by dilute solution which comes from the bottom of generator to. Evaporation temperature range can be from 10 °C to -60 °C using ammonia as refrigerant,and one set of unit can be implemented on a plurality of evaporation temperature.

4. Solution Circulation

    The dilute solution from the generator enters absorber through solution heat exchanger after throttling and depressurization .Dilute solution absorbs the refrigerant steam from the evaporator. Concentrated solution is generated in the absorption process, the concentrated solution is pressurized by the circulating pump. The solution is endothermic and heated in heat exchanger, then re-enter the generator, be heated to produce high temperature ammonia steam. And this is the refrigeration circulation.

5. This project needs 1.5 tons of ice per day, solar ice maker works 8 hours per day, hourly ice volume is 187.5 kg , the unit's cooling capacity is 180W * 187.5 = 33750W. Solar power is about 70KW. And we use grooved solar panels, the photothermal conversion efficiency of grooved solar panel is 60% or more, the efficiency is 1000 W / m², and the heat collection is 600 W / m². Solar collector area required to achieve 120 m², installed on the roof or on the open ground.

 

II.Product Features

1. Solar panels. 

We use grooved solar panels, ordinary solar panels is flat heat absorbing surface and the heat convection losse is very large, it is difficult to meet heat utilization requirements for the high temperature range above 150 °C. Grooved solar plate uses non-imaging low magnification condenser, high reflectance reflective material and efficient collector tube, the collector efficiency is high, the working temperature can be up to 150 ~ 200 °C.It is convenient to manufacture, installation and operation and the cost is low.

2. Heat exchanger unit.

 

Compared to other forms of refrigeration unit, the ammonia absorption refrigeration unit has the following characteristics:

 

(1) using solar energy as the driving heat source, no pollution;

 

(2) using ammonia as refrigerant, can get a temperature below 0 °C; lithium bromide units only get a temperature above 0 °C;

 

(3) the entire unit structure is simple, easy processing and manufacturing;

 

(4)small vibration, low noise and outdoor installation, thereby reducing the construction cost;

 

(5) maintenance is simple, easy to operate, easy to manage;

 

(7) the ammonia is inexpensive, no damaging effects on the ozone layer;

(8) at below -25 degrees refrigeration cases, saving more than 90% energy compared with the same amount of refrigeration compressor.

 

3.Ice maker

 

(1) can produce ice quickly, refrigeration temperature can up to -30 degrees;

 

(2) can make block ice, flake ice, granular ice or tube ice, plate ice, suitable for a variety of purposes;

(3) high efficiency, automatic making ice, manual operation is omitted.
