Knives are available with ground, lapped or polished side faces. 

Slitter knives are manufactured to a thickness tolerance of ±0.002mm-0.003mm(±0.00007 inch-±0.00012inch).  

Parallelism tolerances is within 0.003mm (0.00012 inch)

These are all prerequisites for the best possible slitting results.

Wire rod shear blade material:5CrNiMo/5CrW2Si/6CrW2Si/3Cr2W8V/4Cr5MoSiV1(H13),heat-resisting high quality alloy steel and etc.  

The hot shear blade is mainly used for high temperature cutting in continuous casting,  tandem rolling,  hot forging and cogging .
