V8 Saltwater fly reel is equipped with a self-lubricating and powerful disc-drag, which can be adjusted easily by a handy drag knob, and has a distinctive clicking sound. The closed case protects it against scrapes and bumps, and it may be braked by hand also. The reelfoot is oval-shaped, so that long leaders may be wound around it securely.

The V8 saltwater fly reel's is extremely heavy duty, yet thanks to additional bearings and the use of the most modern milling equipment, it is a lightweight in its class!

Originally developed for freshwater salmon fishing, the V8 Saltwater fly reel's robust design and con-corosive components have made it a favorite of saltwater flyfishermen worldwide.
