Lantern nets consist of individual growout chambers, strung together in a vertical series.  Each chamber is typically constructed of a knotted or woven mesh over a wire frame, and access to the chambers is by a door or flap.  FUKUI lantern nets are available in a variety of designs, for use in a wide range of applications.  All models are designed to promote high growth rate for the crop, to minimize biofouling and the effects of currents and tides, and to minimize servicing time, thus keeping labor costs low.
