Applicable Scope

    Crumbler is a feed processing equipment which crumbles bigger pellet feed produced by pellet mill and cooled by cooler into the required smaller pellet feed.  To produce bigger pellets firstly and then crumble them into small pellets with crumbler can increase the capacity by nearly 2 times, reduce the energy consumption greatly and improve the productivity of all processes in feed mill.

MAIN STRUCTURE 

Crumbler is arranged in the technological process flow of feed production like this: Pellet feed produced by pellet mill enters the crumbler for crumbling after being cooled by cooler so as to obtain the pellet feed with required size.  Then the crumbled pellets are conveyed to pellet screener for screening so as to separate too big feed pellets and too fine feed mash.  Generally fines will not exceed 10-15% of total feed conveyed into the crumbler.

SSLG crumbler consists of three rolls, fast roll, slow roll and feeding roll, rolls gap adjusting unit, valve operating unit and drive. 

The working principle of crumbler is similar to grinding mill.  A pair of rolls with different rotational speed rotates face to face.  The produced pellets enter the crumbler inlet after being cooled in the cooler and then  enter between two rolls through the opened valve.  The pellets are cut and pressed through the differential motion of saw-shaped teeth on two rolls, thus being crumbled.  The required crumbling fineness can be obtained through adjusting the gap of two rolls.  If pellets need not be crumbled, then, push the operating rod to close the valve so that pellets pass through the bypass on opposite sides.  At this moment, pellets contact the limit switch and the motor is stopped.
