Barbed wire and razor wire function in similar way, which they are often used together with other fencing material to enhance the security level of the whole system. In Enzar Metal, we supply these two types of fencing wire either shipping along with other fences or separately. 

Manufacturing Process

Barbed wire is manufactured from single strand wire. Wire is twisted and cut through the machine. At the output end, barbed wire will be rolled into required coil.

Razor wire machine punches the steel strip into certain razor shape. Then, the punched steel strip will be attached to the core steel wire by pressing and reshaping. The core of razor wire has to be high tensile steel wire. At the output end, the razor wire will be packed in either straight line or concertina spiral to fit the applications.

Material Grade

Barbed wire is available in the following steel grade and treatment type.

Electro-galvanized wire with zinc weight 10-20g/sqm

Hot dipped galvanized wire with zinc weight 60-80g/sqm

High Zinc Volume galvanized wire with zinc weight 200g/sqm to 260g/sqm

Galfan Wire(Zn+5%Al or Zn+10%Al) with zinc weight over 200g/sqm

Stainless steel wire in SS 304 or 316.

All the galvanized wire can be PVC coated for additional corrosion resistance and color.

The raw material of razor wire is in two types, high tensile steel wire and steel strip. The quality is listed as below. For razor wire, all material can be processed with electrostatic powder coating with different colors.

Barbed wire is always shipped in coil of 100m, 200m or longer. The following table indicates the approximate weight info of different barbs distance.

Razor wire looks different when the blade type is different. We have moldings of all the blade shape, including BTO-12, BTO-15, BTO-18, BTO-22, BTO-30, CBT-60 and CBT-65.

Thickness of steel trip: 0.5mm +/-0.05mm

Thickness of core wire: 2.5mm +/-0.05mm
